4. Your Rights and Choices
We strive to provide you with choices regarding your personal information. Depending on your location and subject to applicable law, you may have the following rights and options:
Access and Correction You can access and update some of your account information by logging into your Spinras account and visiting your profile or account settings. For example, you can change your email, password, or profile details. If any personal information we have is inaccurate or outdated, you have the right to correct it. You may also contact us to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. We will provide this, unless legal exceptions apply.
Account Deletion: You have the right to request deletion of your account or personal data. You can delete your Spinras account through the account settings page (if that feature is available) or by contacting us at our support email. Upon your request, we will delete or anonymize your personal information so that you can no longer be identified, except to the extent we are permitted or required to retain certain information (for example, for legal compliance or internal business purposes like record-keeping). Please note that removal from our active databases may not mean the data is erased from all backups immediately, but we will ensure it is not readily accessible or used after deletion
Opt-Out of Marketing Communications If we send you promotional or marketing emails, you can opt out at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in those emails or by adjusting your email preferences in your account settings (if available). Note that even if you opt out of marketing messages, we may still send you transactional or service-related communications, such as notifications about your account, security updates, or contest outcome emails, which you generally cannot opt out of as long as you maintain an account.
Cookies As discussed, you can set your browser to refuse all or some cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Each browser is a little different, but typically these options are in the browser's "privacy" or "security" settings. Please note that if you disable or refuse cookies, some parts of our Service might become inaccessible or not function properly. For example, you might not remain logged in.
Do Not Track While we do not respond to DNT signals (as mentioned above), you can exercise control over tracking through other means, such as using browser privacy extensions or opting out of analytics as described.
California Privacy Rights If you are a California resident, you have specific privacy rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) (and other California laws). This includes the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete personal information (subject to some exceptions), the right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. However, as noted, Spinras does not sell your personal information. California residents can make requests regarding their personal information by contacting us (see Contact section). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests (for instance, by confirming control of your email address or other information). If you prefer, you can designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, but we will still take steps to verify that the request is legitimate.
GDPR and International Rights If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other regions with similar data protection laws, you may have additional rights with respect to your personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or other laws. These rights may include:
- The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
- The right to rectify any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- The right to erasure (or "right to be forgotten") – to have your personal data deleted, subject to certain exceptions.
- The right to restrict processing of your data under certain conditions (for example, if you contest the accuracy of the data, we may restrict processing until we verify it)
- The right to data portability – to obtain a copy of your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format, and to have it transferred to another controller where technically feasible.
- The right to object to certain processing activities, including where we rely on legitimate interests as our legal basis, or to direct marketing
- If we are processing your personal data based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal
- To exercise any of these rights, please contact us. We will consider and act upon any request in accordance with applicable laws. We may ask you to verify your identity and request before taking further action.
Non-Discrimination Spinras will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights. For example, we will not deny you the Service or provide a different level of Service if you choose to exercise your rights (though deleting your data may impact our ability to provide the Service)
Limitations These rights may be subject to certain limitations and exceptions under applicable law. For instance, we might not be able to delete data that we are required to keep for legal reasons (such as records of financial transactions), or we might decline a request if we cannot verify your identity. If we deny a request, we will explain the reason to the extent permitted
