7. Data Retention
We will retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, as described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
- If you have an account, we will generally keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service.
- If you delete your account or request deletion, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except for information we are required or permitted to retain. For example:
- We may retain some data for legal compliance (e.g., records of transactions for tax, auditing, and regulatory compliance).
- We may retain data to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements (e.g., if we banned an account for misconduct, we might retain certain info to prevent that person from re-registering).
- Backup copies of data might persist for a limited time in archives (though they will be removed in the normal course of deletion cycles).
- In general, usage data and analytics data is aggregated or anonymized over time and may be retained in that form (without personal identifiers) indefinitely for historical analysis.
- Prize fulfillment records: If you participated in a contest, records of the contest (e.g., that you won, along with date and prize) may be retained for a certain period in case of audits or legal inquiries, even if you delete your account. These records will not be publicly visible and will be kept secure.
- We also keep communications you send to us (such as emails or support tickets) as long as necessary to address your questions or issues, and for our records.
However, please note that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. For example, email communications or other transmissions you send to us are not encrypted by us (they might be encrypted by third party services in transit, but not end to-end by Spinras). You should be careful in deciding what information you send us in this way.
Account Security Practices It is important that you also play a role in keeping your personal data safe. Choose a strong, unique password for your Spinras account and do not share it with others. If you use a social login, ensure your social account is secure. Log out of the Service when you finish using it on a shared device. Be wary of "phishing" attempts — Spinras will not ask you for your password via email, so if you receive such a message, it is likely fraudulent.
If you have any reason to believe that your interaction with us is no longer secure (for example, if you suspect that your account has been compromised), please notify us immediately using the contact information below so we can assist.
When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete it or anonymize it. If deletion or anonymization is not immediately feasible (for instance, because the data is stored in backup archives), we will securely store the data and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
